The land where the wine “Erbaluce di Caluso” is produced is named Canavese, this area is located at the foothills of Western Italian Alps and is part of the region named “Piemonte”. The climate in this area is particularly mild and, together with other environmental factors, has been the most suitable terrain for producing this noble wine since Roman times.
Santa Clelia Winery is located in Mazzč, in the central part of the hills of Canavese moraines and it plays a key role in producing the “Erbaluce” wine. It is distinguished for quality as well as for the amount of wine produced. The ancient winery has been recently renewed at the “state of the art” with the goal of integrating modern technologies with old traditions and flavors.
“Erbaluce di Caluso” is a white dry wine with a light golden color carrying a fragrance of meadow flowers. The wine has a sharp, well structured round flavor quite unique among white wines. The same grapes may be exsiccated in a dry and aired environment to produce the so called “Caluso Passito”, one of the three historical liqueur wines of Italy. This unique wine is produced according to the old tradition and is aged in oak barrels for at least 4 years. Our wines are waiting for you whenever you will be discovering our land (Piemonte). We'll have the opportunity to meet you and share the best of our wines and cuisine.
